Mobile software for Parking Operations
Arepo's Inkara Parking Software provides modules that help car park owners and operators manage their parking spaces and services. Our software is in use in a wide range of parking activities including airport parking, meet and greet, city centre car parks, shopping centres and hospital trusts.
More and more parking activities require a mobile solution to help the car park operations. Arepo has over 10 years experience in building mobile applications across a range of mobile operating systems. As the mobile hardware has evolved, so has our software, and we will continue to develop our software to meet our client's ever changing needs.
Reservations software
Customers with pre-booked reservations can be managed using Inkara's mobile app. The mobile software can be used on standard smartphones and provides:
- Automatic running lists so staff can see all imminent arrivals and departures
- A simple customer check-in / check-out process able to be used anywhere
- Integration with mobile printers to generate customer receipts
- Capture of customer signatures, vehicle damage and damage photos
- Vehicle location management for block / line parking, logging GPS coordinates
- Real time updates for quicker management decisions
As well as providing improved customer service, capturing images of any pre-existing vehicle damage can help to reduce insurance costs and damage payments.
Car park enforcement software
Inkara's mobile software provides parking operators with a cost effective solution to issue Parking Charge Notices (PCN's) and Warning Notices whilst capturing important photographic and geographic evidence.
The smartphone application helps parking operators to record and monitor enforcement activity including:
- Car park patrols and proof of presence
- Photographic evidence of parking contraventions
- Issue PCN's and Warning Notices
- Geolocation of issued notices
Car park patrol software
Car park operators are often required to provide patrols of the parking facilities throughout the day either as part of their approach to customer service or due to contractual obligations. Patrol staff monitor the whole parking facility including the infrastructure and equipment installed and usually have to record and report any faults or issues as they are identified.
The Inkara smartphone application helps parking operators to record and monitor events around the car park including:
- Car park patrols and proof of presence
- Equipment faults and escalation
- Infrastructure and third party issues
Latest technology
The mobile app utilises standard functions of smartphone hardware including the in-built camera, GPS and, where available, Near Field Communications (NFC).
Assets can be tagged with a barcode or NFC (contactless) tag. Staff use the mobile device to scan the asset or patrol point and the GPS coordinates and time are logged and uploaded to the Inkara database. If any faults have previously been reported the app alerts the user and provides additional information.
The uploaded information can be analysed and reported on, providing supporting data for Service Level Agreement or other reviews.
